About Cantrell Marching

Christopher Cantrell

Christopher Cantrell writes the drill and arranges the music for Cantrell Marching. Having his origins in the McGavock High School Band in Nashville, Tennessee, he has marched with the University of Tennessee Marching Band, Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps in 1990 and the Cadets of Bergen County Drum and Bugle Corps in 1991-1992. In 1993, he was on visual staff for the Cadets when they won the DCI World Championship. He has been writing drill and arranging music since becoming a band director in 1994. Following 9 years of being a high school band director (6 years in ATSSB), Chris spent 4 years as Assistant Director of Bands at Sam Houston State University. He now lives in Dallas with his wife, Renee and daughter, Valerie Alexis.
